Acles is part of CercleS (European Confederation of Language Centres in Higher Education), a confederation of independent associations of language teaching centres that was established in Strasbourg in 1991 and which currently includes 22 European countries.

CercleS gathers around 290 Centres, Departments, Institutes, Faculties or Higher Education Schools, whose main responsibility is language teaching. It has several thousand academic, administrative and technical personnel members, and around 250,000 students learn languages in its centres. CercleS is committed to the highest standards in language teaching and research.
